My course will be done, so I should be free whenever. I'd prefer meeting earlier to later, as I will be meeting up with the friend I'm staying with for the weekend afterward. I have a T pass, so I can make it into Central Square no problem. In fact, I'm going up to Cambridge for dinner tomorrow night.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Let's do Asmara in Central-- it will be much more low key than the Beehive.
I can be there by 5:30.
It's been ages since I had Ethiopian food!

No utensils, right? Just the bread.
ETA, Asmara works for me if it works for others. I just fear the South End crowd-wise on a Friday evening for some of the places I listed.
I'm cool with Asmara.
There is an Ethiopian place in Oakland that I should go to sometime, but I've never seen a Senegalese place before.
No recs for Boston, natch, but I think I've been to this place in Oakland with Buffistas, and it was teh yum. You should go when you get home, P-C.
Hey! I can be at Asmara at 5:30! The missus must decline, though. I didn't think I could join you guys since I've got plans for later in the evening, but 5:30 I can do.
P-C -- if you're staying at the Sheraton, you should consider taking the #1 bus, instead of the subway. The #1 bus is a straight shot down Mass. Ave into Cambridge, whereas with the subway, you have to take the green line all the way to Park St. and then switch to the red line into Cambridge. It's easier and more scenic.

Yay!

Aw.

Yeah, I took the #1 before. I'll see where I am when I need to get there. For instance, I'm going to Cambridge tonight, but I'm going to be taking the green line back to the hotel anyway, and I think it might actually be easier to just stay on and transfer to the red line rather than wait for the bus if the timing doesn't work out.
Ha, yeah, it's actually ten minutes faster and less waiting to just go straight there on the T from here. Coming back, I may take the bus, though, since it's a straight shot.
So, head count. So far I've got 5: Me, P-C, Nora, Theo and Jon. Is that right, just in case one of us gets there earlier than the others?
Tom won't be coming, will he, Nora? I know it's usually too tricky for him to make things in the Boston area during the week (especially on the earlier side).
No, he can't make it... and it is looking like I won't either. I am feeling pretty crappy- hoping to get out of here early and make it home in one piece on the train.
You guys will have an awesome time though!
Well, boo.
Feel better Nora. Will this affect tomorrow?
