Jilli, I talked to a friend who's been to Comic-Con before, and I think how it works is that you pick up a ticket at the Dark Horse booth (#2615, it's really easy to find on the map), and then they have a drawing and post the results on a board somewhere, and if your number was drawn, you get a spot in line.
This is how you do it. Drop by often for more tix. We had like 15 or so tix last year for Dr. Horrible signing and ended up with 1 winner (I met NPH!).
Ooh, I didn't know you could get multiple tickets! Neeeat.
How long before the signing did they do the drawing? Do you know the day before whether you should plan on it or do you not know until a few hours before?

I don't think they want you to, but they don't remember you if you space it out.

They did the drawing about an hour or so before the signing. They put the numbers on a big whiteboard and you check your tix. You don't know until then.

Aaaah, I see. I can also have my friends get me tickets.

Oh, balls. That's annoying. Le sigh.
I CAN HAZ SEEN JILLI & PETE! Twice in one weekend!
Jilli was fantastic at both the reading/signing and the picnic. The signing had more questions from the audience, but the picnic had more attendees (almost all FABULOUSLY dressed - apparently the organizing was done partly via a local steampunk group and ZOMGCLOTHESWANTALLNOW).
We are expecting photos of the picnic to wind up on gothsinhotweather.com any day now. It was cool for NYC in late July, but still pretty hot for anyone showing up in thigh-high leather boots and/or multiple layers of satin.

Well bother, I bet *I* won't be able to get multiple tickets. Drat. Time to see if I can work some connections.

Awww, thank you! I was so glad you (and Trudy, and Scola, and Jesse, and Erin) could make it!
I am now eating something for not-quite the first time today, but a little close. There was yummy food at the picnic, I just didn't have any time to eat any. And tonight, we're going to Jekyl & Hyde for dinner! (Take the Haunted Mansion. Turn it into a restaurant. That is J&H. I MUST GO THERE.)
I MUST GO THERE.
I've loved that place since "Homelands" came out, and I got to dress up as Baron Sengir and float about spooking small children.
Yay Jilli gets to talk to the giant animatronic rhino head. It forced us (well, Shawn Carnes) to teach it "Magic".

This is the outfit I was coveting all afternoon. I *LOVE* the whole futuristic pirate thing she has going. LOVE.
picnic photos are making me very jealous
