Which, can I just tell a funny story? We have a friend who is a transsexual man (i.e., born female, transitioned to male). He had top surgery 2 days ago (breast reduction), and posted in his LJ: "I've had Dr. Frankenfurter's song 'I Can Make You a Man' stuck in my head for three days and I have an overpowering urge to buy shiny gold tiny shorts."

So, MFNLaw and I met up with Barb at the hotel where she was staying for her conference. We had a lovely time, talked for about 4 hours and it seemed like half an hour. Side note: there were a LOT of bad fashion choices, and it made for some interesting side notes to our conversation. And as we were chatting at about hour 3.5, a young latino man walked by, and Barb casually mentioned "oh, yeah, the Brazilian soccer team is staying on the eighth floor" I promptly stood up, grabbed my purse and headed for the elevator. Seriously. Okay, I came back after a few steps, but Barb! How could you not mention that FIRST THING. Hot latin soccer players in the hotel!!!!!! but, she's so awesome that I forgave her. ;)
