I'm all up in the law now, but damn it feels good to get my violence on.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Aww! I miss you, too.

We left around midnight, and didn't get to bed until closer to 1. JZ and Matilda are out visiting a friend, Lillian and Paul are still asleep, I'm attempting to decide on nail polish for today.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I will put in a reminder that this is a public board, so please exercise discretion when posting pictures or tagging people on Facebook.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Buffistas? Pretty! And handsome!

Prom? Awesome, from the sheer combustibility of so much pretty in the same room. Juliana is to be commended for how smoothly everything went. Magnificent wrangling, J! And while looking extra stunning in red and black roses and skulls, too.

Vortex's boobs of war were both stunning and magnificent, as is she herself. Meara was a knockout, as usual, in severe black, and I learned, possibly later than anybody, what a kickass singing voice she has to go with the kickass face and bod. I won't ever hear Son of a Preacher Man again without thinking of her.

Smonster was smokin', as always. I missed her SPN Woman in white number, having stepped out of the room for a few minutes, but ND promises he has video. Her second number was plenty gorgeous, though. The Liltilda duo was the bubbles in our champagne for the early part of the evening, both of them in velvet and sparkles, as befits baby buffistas. Jilli was resplendent in black velvet and pink satin, and brought the Stunt Husband along as accessory--the Actual Husband was quietly and tastefully sartorial, as ever. JZ was glorious in red and black.

Kristin and ND have this...glow...about them that's apparent, and different from previous F2F's. Nice to see. , omnis_audis and Laga were fun to meet, and omnis was eager for Shir to have a chance to talk to everybody. Java cat showed up late to prom, but happy from her bike trip and impressed with the local scenery. Trudy wore a miniskirt and fishnets, Erin was period chic in black and red. Zen rocked the turquoise satin and black, and Sail's scarlet boa made the little black number she wears so well.

Fay graced us with two gorgeous outfits, as did a few others. Plei's little black number was sizzling hot, and SA was resplendent in a star-spangled white sheer dress with a tulip skirt and whoa, mama! cleavage. Sj wore a soft aqua and reddish-purple outfit that matched her stunning hair.

Plei's DH, dcp, and Scola were ravishingly handsome in suits and bright white shirts, dcp with tie. Frankenbuddha rocked the bowler as only he can manage. TCG, Dana's and -t's DH's were casual chic, Dana wore blue and her shiny, shiny hair, -t had on a velvet number that just begged to be petted.

I know I'm missing people, I'm sorry! It was a hot, bright swirl of a night, and I'm glad I was able to make it.

The day started when DH dropped me off a few doors down from Plei's (and then ran like a rabbit. No peeps for him!) and I smelled bacon, and as I approached the gate, heard the happy babble of voices. Pounced on with glad cries, I was immediately immersed in hugs and the effervescence that is us en masse. Plei, Vortex, Dana, and whoever else was helping produce that prodigious brunch are to be thanked profusely (oh, shut up. I like language), because it was a raving success. Everybody was fed, happy, and buzzing with comraderie. The day only got better, as people peeled off for tours and sightseeing and points of interest.

Several of us lingered in Plei's front garden, soaking in the sunshine till the cab arrived. I was granted the front seat, and Zen, Sail, and dcp took the back, with SA draped across their laps. The driver thought we were amusing.

The hospitality suite was truly amazingly spacious and comfy, and there was slounging, and need mentioned of a booze run, so a collection was begun, and collected in Juliana's cleavage. Vortex had to count it, in situ, of course. Folks left for lunch, errands, naps--though smonster and Scola napped out on the couches and chaises amid the happy babble--and sightseeing.

Sail kindly loaned me her laptop, and dcp and I had some time to discuss his photography and other life stories. Fay, SA and I scurried across the street from the hotel to have sushi for dinner, and were joined by Jilli, and later Erin, Kristin, and ND. Back in the HS, Dana produced vids (vids!) and we talked vids and vidders for a bit. People started a balloon fight, and then started peeling off to dress for prom.

I wound up in Vortex's and Juliana's room helping lace (continued...)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

( continues...) women into corsets, tying bows, and taking pictures. And then there was Prom, see above.

ETA: How could I forget! Todd has new hair, and it manages to be both bold and soft and flattering--her Prom outfit shaded the same colors and she was simply gorgeous. Brenda's tiny-strapped dress looked sensational--the color was indeterminate in the low light, but it set off her pale coloring beautifully. I myself wore black. Black is always good, right?

'Twas lovely. We're lovely. Too bad everyone isn't us.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Thank god everyone isn't us! For then our clan would be ordinary! And I assure you, we are FAR from ordinary!!!! What a wonderful shindig! Kudos to the locals who scouted, shopped, and made a great weekend. There was more, but I think Bevs recap did justice, so I point at that.

So? Um? What's the proceedure with the snog shirt? After I launder it, who do I need to return it to? And thank for it (aside from Laga for convincing me to wear it)?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm uploading the next batch of pictures now, although I can't post a couple of pictures until I get someone's Fay's permission.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Hey, what are people planning to do for lunch? I should have JZ and Matilda back by 11:30, per the note. Then we have enough time to lunch (I think) before we have to go take her to the airport.

After that, what are people doing for dinner, those who are still here? Those who are, say, SA, and are still here.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Is the brunch at Ivar's on the waterfront any good?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We're here til tomorrow evening, so would be up for a dinner plan tonight.
