Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

DH, too, sj. I've got him nibbling potato chips and sipping water in the hopes of a quick recovery. You take care of yourself!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks for the hair compliments!

I think it was either something I ate or a stomach bug. I hope no one else here is sick.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Saturday yay! A whole 'nother day of delightful people and delightful adventures. Off to Plei's soonish for OMGWTFBRUNCH.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, ugh, sj. Sending feel-better vibes across town. Will you feel up for coming to pancakes and proper Southern cornbread at Plei's place later this morning?

Also vibing to -t's husband, especially since you and I have only managed to wave frantically in passing on the way in or out of the dining room or the elevators, and I don't think I've even officially met him yet.

Everyone here is still collapsed asleep. When we got home Matilda and Lily were still punchy and giddy, and there was lots of tearing around in underwear and diapers and half-naked train track assembly and fits of hysterical laughter over the freaked-out cats rocketing through the house looking for a quiet corner to hide in. Got matilda into her nightgown, suffered a minor Lily meltdown because she didn't have any nightgowns, found acceptable footie PJs for Lily, suffered a minor Matilda meltdown because they weren't dressed the same, found another pair of footies for Matilda to borrow, did the Pajama Dance, gently pried them apart (Lily keeps tacklehugging Matilda and saying, "Matilda! Matildy!" while Matilda looks stiff and affronted, and then very chuffed afterward), and so to bed.

There will be a Scene at the airport tomorrow, we expect.

Random non-Lily-and-Matilda notes:

ND and Kristin: Possibly even more gorgeous now that they're officially engaged. Also, despite both of them loving their jobs and being extremely good at them, they both look extra happy just to be slounging around together with a solid two days completely free of crushing deadlines and papers to grade and sprints to the airport. Leisure totally suits them.

SA's hot-red-frame glasses rock her face and she rocks them.

TCG so obviously dotes on sj; it's quite lovely.

dcp is not just a great photographer, but an origamist, and very patient with Matilda's mid-morning surliness.

erin_obscure is pretty in a way that leads one to suspect that she may in fact be part elf.

Even on very brief meeting, it is obvious that Laga is pure fun on a stick.

omnis is seriously cute, and someone needs to pounce on him.

Scola maintains his superpower of lighting up an entire room with the force of a single smile, and he continues to be the best F2F hugger ever. And, really, there are some very quality huggers in this crowd, but Scola has them all beat.

More updates later as events warrant.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Uh-oh. I hope it wasn't something at dinner. So far, husband and I are fine.

Everything JZ says is trufax! including the southern cornbread, an assertion I forgot I made last night. Better find my recipe...

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have an F2F update!!

I had breakfast with the magnificent VW and then we went to her parent's new house here in Ypsi and HOLEY CRAP is it HUMNORMOUS!!

Emeline saw the picture of Lily and Matilda and demanded to know who those girls were and why aren't they her friends? I assured her that when she meets them, they will be.

Husband's in the shower, looked a little perkier. I am more suspicious of the breakfast leftovers that we couldn't fit into the fridge that he apparently consumed anyway than of Wild Ginger, in his case.

Dinner, btw, was incredibly good. A bit more leisurely than we had expected, but that mostly meant more time for conversation, so, yay.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The Pajama Dance! A highlight of any F2F, surely. I'm leaving in the next little bit. See peeps at PMM's!
