I hope you don't think that I just come over for the spells and everything. I mean, I really like just talking and hanging out with you and stuff.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

so polar bears = evil

Is that news? They are the only land predator that actively hunts humans.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

SOMEONE'S got to be oppressed! t /Godspell

Look, our more enlightened world is fresh out of bad guys with which to menace our children into obedience. We can't threaten to sell them to Gypsies or Indians. Nobody is going to make matzoh from them. The Commies are just about gone. Even the Big Bad Wolf is a symbol of the majesty and wildness of the West and the unleashed power of half a million Wicca. Oh, and FORGET scaring them with witches, half their friends are witches. Even the Boogie-man Americans have cultural outreach now.

We're left with a world where children are forced to silently mouth "Polar Bear" at their parents until they're old enough to call them motherfuckers.

Buffistas are the best! Meara gave us a ride to the airport where we are contemplating food. Juliana, I can't leave a message on your cell. Call me if you're up to eating with us.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Better to have it and not need it. Wouldn't have needed it today, it was very pleasant out.

It looks like we are scattered all over the hotel so far. I'm on the 2nd floor, omnis_audis and Laga are on 6, and I think Noise Design and PixKristin are on 11.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

We are here! Laga greeted me at the gate. We were both hungry and tired and decided a cab was only a few bucks more than the super shuttle thing, but Instant! so we did that. We saw P-C in the lobby. Ate at the Sazerac, where ND & Pix visited us for a few minutes. Then walked around the area a bit with DCP! We are HERE! Laga is in the bath. She bought a huge thing of salt. Not sure what that was all about. Sounds like she is swimming in there. Oh! And I think folks will love the robes. Too bad they list at $120 or I'd snag one.

Hot!!

Oh, I did manage to stuff some games in my overpacked bag. I brought Set, the 2-person card game version of Catan, a couple decks of playing cards, and a little trivia card game from the NY Times. Would that be something nice to have in the HS? Is that room secure? Would things walk? How do those things work anyhow?
