F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Oh, I can't make it (being that I'm here in Chicagoland!), but seeing this thread pop up reminded me that I am now in possession of candy necklaces, purchased for next year's F2F!!

(Michaels had some Halloween-themed ones at the front desk.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Where are we on F2F dates again? I just got invited to a wedding on July 10.

We haven't voted yet. July 10 is one of the possible weekends.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

July 25 is my brother's wedding.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Right - poll time. Should we make it preferential? And we're adding in July 10-12 & 17-19, right? (I'm assuming we're not going to try to have a F2F over The Damn Big U.S. Patriotic Holiday, Sir.)

After conversation, here were the dates we'd narrowed down to:

  • May 29-31
  • June 5-7
  • June 12-14
  • June 19-21
  • June 26-28
  • July 10-12
  • July 17-19

Juliana, I'd love to have a chance to vote for more than 1--maybe ask people to pick their first and second choices in one question and then pick up to two dates they couldn't attend in a second question?

So:

FIRST date choice? [blah blah dates]

SECOND date choice? [blah blah dates]

ALTERNATIVE date choices (pick 2)? [blah blah dates]

Like that?

I think I'd like to keep it simpler and do first, second, third - that way I don't have to parse the alternatives. But I will keep in the "I cannot make it to these dates" question.

Drew and I (well, at least Drew, and probably me too) will mostly likely be gone from July 18th-August 16th to work on the Nick cruises. (I'm hoping I actually have a job with them this time, not just a tag-along situation.) I'm crossing fingers and toes for June 27 or July 11 for my own selfish purposes. But if we get Brenda in June and no Fay or Fay in July and no Brenda, I will cry and cry. (I know, I know, we'll never find a date to make everyone happy. I'm just going to sit over here in my denial bubble, don't mind me.)

x-posty:

Juliana, I just meant a question like: "Pick your top two choices for dates," but listing first, second third is fine too. Whatever looks easier to you.

Oh goddamit, it ate my post...

Quick version, if we're going voting 1,2 & 3 can we add August 7-9 for completeness sake? This is a pretty temperate city, after all.
