Yup, Frankenbuddha is closer to the truth, for Pete & Jilli's house is where we keep the snerk.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
No honey, that's the snArk. Snark. Snark is kept at your house.
Not snerk.
And also? It's where the adorable is kept, in untold quantities.
is not afraid of looming or list as I am, sadly, remaining in my midwestern summer prison
Also, thanks.

I am all for root beer samplers in the hospitality suite.
I have enough in PayPal to cover Prom and will send that posthaste, but I'm definitely up for adding a little extra for the root beers.
A friend also recommended checking out the Public Market (I think, that's what she said), which also looks reasonable walking distance.
yes, according to google maps, it's about half a mile from the hotel. Easy peasy. I was thinking of wandering over there for brunch on Saturday (brunch being grabbing whatever looks good from the stands, not a sit down thing) and going wherever afterward.
The last time I was in Seattle ... eesh, it was 1994 or 1996! ... I visited Elliott Bay Books. There was also a used book store specializing in SF ... out near Green Lake? does that sound right? I remember they had several cats slounging around the store (I rode the Seattle bus system!). Pioneer Square was interesting, if someplace I wouldn't want to wander through at night. They also had one of those bus/trolley tours where you pay for a ticket and can hop off and back on along their route, which is useful for getting around town.

Also, I'd still like to BrunchBQ at my place. Saturday morning maybe?
Ooh! And the PIRATE STORE! I'll bet some buffistas would enjoy that. Heh.
Menu items for the Prom are below. I added the reception stations that I thought would appeal, but those are priced per person (instead of per piece, like the desserts and appetizer displays), so I won't order them if there's not much interest. I'll choose the quantities based on a) interest and b) catering estimates, keeping in mind that not much food gets consumed at Prom.

Nothing in the reception stations calls out to me, so if they are per person, I'd be inclined against.
Since I can't have caffeine after lunch, I have to vote for either the lemon blueberry or rustic apple tarts for desserts.
