Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

reaches down, takes off shoe, and attempts to cross toes. Frowns at stubby toes, crosses two sets of fingers instead.

So, I've been putting together a list of things I definitely want to do. So far:

Underground City tour (which looks like it's only a bit of a (healthy) walk from the hotel).
Science Fiction Museum
Space Needle (both of those seem to be near each other and are a monorail - Monorail! Monorail! Monorail! - ride away according to the hotel website)
A friend also recommended checking out the Public Market (I think, that's what she said), which also looks reasonable walking distance.

I know someone (I think Plei) mentioned that downtown proper doesn't have much going on. Are there any areas in reasonable walking distance that have funky shops (record stores, bookstores, etc.), reasonable for me being 3 miles or so? Any other interesting places in that vicinity?

I definitely will be checking out Wild Ginger, as I just got another recommendation for that, and it's downtown as well. I also picked up a Seattle Zagat, so I've noted a few other places I might want to try for food (Serious Pie, for example).

With all that, the HS and the prom, and given the hotel is right in the middle of downtown, I think I might cancel the car rental and just cab it to and from the hotel.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

We are a wee small compressed city. I have walked from one end of our downtown to the other.

Pioneer Square has books. I can't remember where we are now keeping the music. I mean, I know where we kept it 20 years ago, but not now. Umm. I'll get back to ya.
