Frankly, if we end up with the 47th of March in the west corner of hell, I'll probably be there. (Not the southeast corner, though. I have my standards.)
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
That is a date I don't have booked. Hmm.
I would love to go to either Seattle or Portland, but since I'm only free one of the potential weekends I'm not overly optimistic.
I'm reluctant to choose any of the June dates (can't do May or early June for sure; late June maybe). I will put in my preference for July in the comments; hopefully we can re-vote once we narrow it down? Thanks for setting this up, Juliana.
Keeping in mind that the first weekend of July is the Fourth. I'd be seriously down with the second weekend because that's Nate's birthday.
And he's pretty much decided that he'd love to go to Seattle for a trip. I didn't even put the suggestion in his head. How cool is that? Heh.

Absolutely.
The thing with July dates is a) it does get hot in Seattle/Portland and b) July 4th is the first Friday, so we're pushing in to mid-summer (and thus expensive). But - if you have any July dates you'd like to see, throw them out here and now so I can put them in another poll.
The weekends of July 11th and July 18th would be my additions. Thanks!
Oh, jeez. I just realized that I totally forgot about the fact that Tucson had been proposed. The Tucson dates would have to be earlier, yes? Should I re-poll?
Earlier works better for me but I prefer the PNW so my preferences seem to cancel each other out.
I thought Theo dropped Tucson. Seconding July dates as well as June.
What is it with transportation people, I tell you! I think there are so many acronyms, they forget to think about what they might be. There is a region-wide program in the SF area called that was called "PMS" for years. No one thought about the acronym! "This way to the PMS Workshop." Eventually it was changed.
And, hey, Fay - I've got a friend in the US foreign service whose next post is Thailand... I just might have to see if I could swing a trip. When's a good time to visit, keeping in mind that I do pretty well with humid heat?
BANGKOK F2F, BAYBEE!!!!!!!
Ahem.
To be honest, the weather is fairly consistently Very Bloody Hot Indeed. The rainy season (right now) is a little less hot, which is nice, but it has the downside of the whole Sudden Enormous Rainstorms, which can be irritating if you're trying to go out. (Although usually the rain is in the evening/late afternoon. And it's kind of fabulous, so long as you're not in it.)
Which is as much as to say - come whenever you can! Yay!
