I like the mulitas (it's like a taco-meets-quesadilla, kind of? with avocado? less cheesy than a quesadilla). And the regular tacos, especially the pastor (though it's not REALLY--no pineapple or anything) and adobada.

The new taco truck in the old KFC down here is good too--their chicken mole tacos are yum.

It's not off topic! These are places we can make people eat!

Jilli, I really need to ask - is there somewhere in Seattle I could put together an interesting wardrobe for the prom, at a semi-reasonable price?

Yes. Fairly easily, I think.

About all I have on my own is a great bowler hat, but I think that's going to be a no go with the flying and stuff (mainly from lack of luggage space). I hate to admit it, but I'd feel horribly self-conscious wearing it on the plane, and I fear it might make the security folks pay more attention to me than I'd like.

WEAR THE HAT, DAMMIT. Or put it in your luggage and tuck socks and underwear around it to cushion it.

Gorditos is, like, four or five blocks from Jilli's.

Yesssss, yes they are. And cheap! And with enormous portions! Damn, now I want guacamole, and I've already started making dinnner.

Dinner so good it deserves three 'n's.

Gorditos is a 15 minute drive north of the hotel though.

Though I guess that's nothing compared to some of the distances covered while at the LA and SF F2Fs.

Wild Ginger sounds great, but on the other hand I'd hate to miss out on eating sushi when in a place that has actual fresh seafood from the coast.

Even the time that we tried to do tapas and eat light, we managed to sample a little too much. :)

In retrospect I wish I'd eaten more heavily at that meal. I'm pretty sure it was one of those spinach puffs at the prom that resulted in me spending much of my vacation touring scenic restrooms across Georgia and Florida.

Yes, I'm inclined to agree with Matt that fresh seafood is the way to go. Of course, there are always several outings on Saturday, so Wild Ginger is totally an option.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Wild Ginger is totally an option

'Specially after you get a few drinks in her.

Not javachik

I'll be there, and I definitely want/need to share a room to bring the cost down for me. I'm probably not arriving until Sat. and at the moment, am only planning to spend 1 night, but we'll see.

That's the kind of thing I keep thinking whenever y'all mention Wild Ginger.
