Oh nooooo. I didn't know. I'm glad Hec took care of the bill either way. Good man.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Dylan and I will be in San Francisco from the evening of 7/12 till around midday on 7/14, and I'd love to meet up with the localistas for a meal or two.
So I do a lot of cons now. For this month I am doing
This weekend: KatsuCon, an anime con in National Harbor which is DCish
Next Weekend: Dreamation, a rpg/board game convention is Morristown, NJ
Next Next Weekend: Cold Wars, a historical miniatures/gaming convention in Gettysburg, PA
If anyone is attending, let me know!
That's great, CaBil. Update your schedule regularly so we know if you are nearby.
Where’s the best place to fly into for Stamford? Any locals have an opinion? There’s better flight options to LaGuardia, but I seem to remember thinking that Newark might be easier.
Newark is an easier connection to Amtrak, if that's your next step.

If you're taking Amtrak, you can take NJ Transit to Penn Station and transfer to Amtrak to get to Stamford. NJ Transit is miserable with no luggage racks, but it's only about 40 minutes to Penn.
Would you do that rather than going straight from the airport?
Or fly into Hartford - are you renting a car? Also, if you coming from Chicago there are flights into white plains airport which is a lot closer to Stamford than anything else (and a thousand times easier to navigate). I may even be able to pick you up if you fly into white plains (also called Westchester airport) depending on arrival time. I work about 15 min from the white plains airport.
Oh good call. I’m so used to booking United that I ruled that out without thinking twice but American flies there direct. A little spendier but worth it.
I’ll get in about 4 on Friday - may be a little early for you? So looking forward to seeing you.
