I know I haven't been at local events in a while, but I'm trying to get back into the rhythm of it. Unfortunately, I don't do Facebook and I've just mothballed my Twitter account.
What do the SF folks use to keep in touch for local gatherings? Is posting here sufficient? My profile email is good, if anyone wants to let me know privately.

New Orleans visiting peeps, I arranged to fly into Fort Lauderdale on 9/12, to NOLA 9/13, back to FLL 9/17 and back to NY on 9/18. I did however mess up by not having a long enough layover in Florida to visit my SIL and get my nails done.
I am overdue for a pedicure so would like to make this happen anytime Thursday-Saturday? We are staying at Prytania Park. Recommendations? Anyone else need toe pampering?
I am always in for mani/pedis, and will happily treat the birthday locals.

I won't really need a pedi by then, but am always ready for pampering, and/or alternate activities if others want to, and treating locals!!
Going to Universal on Sept 21 if any locals want to join us. (Also probably Disney - both parks - on the 22nd & 23rd, but that's less settled at the moment).
Epic, alas, September is ZOO time for ND and me. Let us know when you go to Disney; if we are free, we will try to join. My Universal pass has expired, though, so that's a no go for me.
If you were going on a weekend for Horror Nights I might be around at Universal, but I'll be in the midst of projects for Warner Bros and a few other clients at that point.
Shoot, my pass has blackouts for pretty much every weekend of Horror Nights, so I probably won't go, unless we go on a week day.
We did just make a motel reservation, so we're definitely doing Disney on 22 & 23 as well.
I might be able to join you at Disney for part of the 22nd or 23rd, but I don't want to overpromise; that will be my first weekend off where I'm not working with students at retreats, so I might need to hermit. But I will do my best!
