Our wings are not tired.

Snowbird headed north planning time again. I have abandoned my western route and am looking at a route taking me into NC, then to NYC, then to Otter Lake. Expect to leave June 12 because I am hosting a shower for DIL the 10th and have to work on the 11th.

My awesome SIL drives a city bus in NYC, which gives you a notion of just how awesome she is. She just started there last year after driving ambulance in the city for the last decade or so. Anyway, since she is new with the city she can't get much time off in the summer so I want to visit her.

Thinking stopping first in Raleigh area, then the 2nd leg I'd stop for dinner so as to avoid the worst of traffic in the Philly area, then on to Northern NJ where Rhonda lives. Last short leg up to the mountains.

If you are located along this route please email using the profile addy, or discuss here. Of course, if DH comes with me then we would be trailering a boat which would change any city driving plans. But more than likely it will be me and Zoe. Loose planning at this point.

BTW, when I'm in DC, I'll be staying in a hotel by Union Station.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Easy access by public transit - there's a subway station right at Union Station and the Circulator buses begin/end there (they're only $1 and you can see something of the city).

Since I'm getting kind of stir-crazy here in NYC, I just said "fuck it" and booked a last-minute trip to San Francisco. I'll be in your city from Wednesday, July 11 until Monday, July 16.

I'm still trying to book lodging; I might need some help in that regard.

I am late posting this because I've been busy/stressed/disorganized, but I'll be in NYC starting this Saturday through July 1. Would love to get together with NY-istas and adjacent.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Oh man, this week is kind of the worst! The kids are between school and camp, so I won't be going into the city at all until Thursday (and I don't have Thurs or Fri evening free). I could maybe do something Wednesday night, or Thursday lunch in midtown?

That would be awesome! Except for trying to go out to Suffolk County to see my sister-in-law and nephew on the 30th, I have purposely kept myself as unscheduled as possible, because I'm exhausted.

Lunch on Thursday would be great! Wed. night is the night before T&G leave for Seattle, so I will probably want to hang out with them then.
