Thanks Kate. No problemo, I was so tired after all the extra driving Friday I wouldn't have been good company yesterday anyway.
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I'll be in Chicago tomorrow and Thursday for work, and they packed our schedule so full (including dinner tomorrow night) that I won't have time to see anyone. Boo. So...I'll wave at everyone.
(Is Ema mediterranean restaurant good? That's where we're having dinner tomorrow night. The menu looks great.)

I've never heard of it, but it looks good. Also, if you save room, you could nip around the corner to Rick Bayless's Xoco for some outstanding hot chocolate afterwards.
Hot chocolate, yum!
My SiL posted pictures on FB today from Chicago -- she had a work trip there this week. But she flies home tonight, so we miss each other by less than 24 hours. How funny is that?
I will be in Oakland from tonight until early Saturday morning. I may have some time to visit with Bay-area folks. More details later.
Just wave across the river at me. If it's not raining at lunch I might actually be sitting directly across the river.
I know nothing of Ema, but I concur on Xoco.
Tommyrot, I live in Oakland and work in downtown Oakland. So I'd be happy to spring for drinks somewhere downtown tomorrow (Wednesday) if you like. Email my profile addy.
My plans are still rather up in the air. As seen in Natter, my sister and I came out to see my aunt who just entered hospice, but we didn't get a chance to talk to my uncle before flying out here.
I'd love to see you, Consuel, and anyone else I'm able to. Maybe -t?
I just talked to my uncle and he's invited my sister and I to stay at their place in Lafayette instead of this cheap hotel in Oakland. And my aunt's hospice is in Alamo. So I might be able to drive out to Oakland tomorrow night. I'll have to see how tomorrow goes.
I'll email you tomorrow.
You may not even have to drive: you can take BART from Lafayette to downtown Oakland.
Anyway, let us know how it goes. I'm so sorry for your family. This part is hard.
My hope is that you are able to connect with some localistas so that they can extend the Buffista love and comfort in person. {tommyrot}
