I have to verify with ND, but I think we'd be game for Nov. 4th dinner and magic!
'First Date'
F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Cool! There's a cover in the evenings ($30 I think), but my understanding is dinner reservations include priority seating for the main stage show, and guests can remain in the club all evening to catch the smaller shows going on throughout.
I also have a few friends that are members of the Magic Castle, they might be able to hook us up.
Sorry, Liese, I thought I responded to you but I guess I didn't! Yes, we'll be around in early November. I don't think we have any out-of-town plans between mid-October and Christmas.
Matt, I would like to see you, not sure if we can do Magic Castle just because my introvert hubby sometimes needs a quieter space.
I'll be around Thursday night through Sunday night, no specific schedule other than the Friday night dinner so I'm sure we could meet up for something less crowd-y.
Smonster and Nora! Just got approved for a conference in N'awlins Oct 12-14. I'm thinking of coming in early, since I always have PTO to burn at the end of year. Are you around?
Right now it looks like I am! Will email shortly.
OK! Here's Liese's upcoming travel plans!
Colorado: I'll be there Sept 27th-Oct 4th, with actual time on the 2nd-4th.
Cinci: Can the rest of y'all reschedule for November 9th so I can come see Teppy's improv? I mean, Teppy's improv can *be* the schedule, if you like. Also, does anyone have/know of a place I could crash that night?
Nashville: Looks like I will arrive October 20th and be in town off and on through Nov 9th. I'll head up to Indy for part of that time to catch the SO's gig and hang with his family, and then he'll join me in Nashville for part of the time, so if y'all want to meet him, we could schedule for the latter part of the trip, maybe something in the first week of November?
LA: I won't make it for Thanksgiving, but I should be there for NAMM (Anaheim, January 18th-22nd), Santa Barbara sometime in February, and ASCAP (Hollywood, April 12th-16th).
Kristen and Drew, I made the reservation for Friday Nov. 4 at 9:45 (the only seating available). Given the late hour we might want to show up a couple of hours earlier and see if we can get into the stage show for the 8pm seating; or not, if you guys are more inclined to night owlishness—either way is fine by me. There are supposed to be smaller acts going on throughout the evening.
Here's what the Magic Castle sent me regarding dress code:
