Sorry I missed that!
I got home pretty late from the East Bay.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

There is still opportunity tomorrow if you're up for it.
meara, if you are interested in coming to Hawaii, let me know. I can do some touristing with you, but can also get you (and another person or two) a place to stay in Kona, and various other benefits of having a local connection.
As always, this is a standing offer for Buffistas.

Ooh! I would totally be into this!! Not soon, but come winter, heck yeah!
Also planning another trip to Mexico at some point...and willing to go other international type places on vacation next year. (Right now I figure US places, I can go for a week or whatever, and mostly don't need to *vacation*--can work during the day and hang out with friends in the evening or over the weekend...but somewhere I haven't been or whatever? Yeah, want a friend with to tourist). I turn 40 next year (OMG when did that happen?!?!) so may end up splurging on some kind of awesome vacation, but...haven't planned it yet, so.
Coolcool. If you want to do winter 17-18, we should talk logistics at some point. My boyfriend rents his place out on VRBO, and we'd need to block the dates you'd want to come (which should not be a problem [unless it's Iron Man] but does require doing in advance). Although, depending on the dates, you could probably just stay at my place, which is farther from the beach, but also farther from the Streets of Expensive Tourist Stuff.
There is a small chance that I'll be on the Big Island next summer, Juneish.
Liese! Are you still planning to come through Nashville sometime soon?
Cool, Liese! Let me know!
LA Buffistas, I am tentatively planning a vacation to your fair city the first week in November. Does anyone have an opinion on whether it's worth it to stay at the Magic Castle Hotel for access to dining at the private club?
Also, would anyone be interested in meeting up for dinner or doing touristy things? (I'm determined to visit Griffith Observatory, and thinking about a day at the beach or a theme park.)
We won't be there, but for a day at the beach in LA, may I recommend Santa Monica and its pier? Very enjoyable (if a little touristy), and Venice Beach is walking distance with just a little effort.
