If you do big group with a place like that, best way to price is by rooms. Most of those places are pretty reasonable even with 1-2 people per room.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
My only hesitation would be that we would need people to seriously commit — probably pre-pay — and I know that hasn't been easy to do in the past. My fear would be that whoever reserved the property would have the potential to get screwed if people backed out. So I don't know if it's actually a good idea...just really tempting when I saw all those amazing places.
Sometimes when I think of Buffista Island, it contains a mishmash of architectural styles, spaced irregularly around the commons. Well, except for the OCD houses whose immaculate, straight-line group has a place all their own.
I need a house that one half has no walls, so the sun and the breeze and even the rain can sweep through--and the other half earth sheltered concrete bunker. Can our architect do that?
Beach house, please, guaranteed hurricane-proof.
As long as I can visit the people with arboreal mountain retreats.
NYC and NYC-adjacent Buffistas: I'm in the area through early Monday morning. Would anyone be interested in Sunday brunch?
I would!
Argh, have plans already!
I'm leaving suddenly for Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier Nat'l parks, stepping into a trip that a friend can't make with a friend of hers. Traveling with any unknown person has the potential to be a disaster, but it's only about 3 weeks, so it should be doable. Getting ready and planning all the camping or whatever to get there to meet her, has me ARGHH!!
I'll be in Sandpoint ID around July 11, don't think we have anyone there, but if we do, would love getting together. I'll be at a house on the lake with a dock and diving board.
WA people, is Yakima worth a visit? It kind of looks hot and dry and maybe not, but, seeking personal info. I might stay over in Spokane, am looking for something to break up the ID-Spokane-Hood River trek, and Yakima is sort of half way.
I'll be at McMenamins' Edgefield 7-13 to 15, and 18 to 20, and in Portland 7-16 and 17 probably, if anyone wants to socialize.
Yakima is where it starts to get away from desert and into mountains. I think it's nice enough. There's an arboretum and parks and wildlife viewing opportunities.
