Boston-area Buffistas, may I ask for some advice? My mom is flying in there for my great-aunt's memorial service on the 20th, but her flight arrives in Logan at 2:15 a.m. She'll be staying in Maynard, so she was thinking of hanging around the airport until the buses/shuttles start running. Is that foolishness? Is there somewhere for her to go for those hours that's easy to get to and safe? Should she rent a car instead?
Just saw this, Juliana, and that doesn't sound like the best plan. The airport is basically shut down overnight, in my experience, so there won't really be anywhere for her to hang around that's not empty and creepy. If she's willing to rent a car, she could just take a cab or whatever? (I don't know what kind of bus would get you to Maynard.)
ION, hey Tom/Jess/anyone else still in New York? I'm coming down next weekend -- want to do something??
Hey, SFistas. Anyone interested in going to the Oscar de la Renta retrospective at the de Young museum? I have a spare ticket thanks to Consuela. I have to use the tickets by May 30 and I'll be out of town for Memorial Day.
I'm already going with friends on the 14th - maybe we will cross paths!!
...I'm just going to put this here for a thought about giant Buffista F2F possibilities in the future...

I'd love to!
Sweet! I can do May 14, 15, 21 or 22. Let me know when is good for you.

Entirely possible!
Very neat! Those prices all assume 4 to a room though, don't they? (Still an attractive option at double or more the listed price, though.)
I vote for the Vegas one. Cheap airfare from most places (I think, maybe that's just SoCal), and urban area, so stuff to do if we want to go outside the house.
I guess the question is, how many folks typically make it to a F2F, and are we ok with 4+ to a room (some had 2 kings and a daybed).
Am I overthinking it? Whaaa? I need a vacation.
