Kaylee: Captain seem a little funny to you at breakfast this morning? Wash: Come on, Kaylee. We all know I'm the funny one.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

brenda, I will be sorry to miss you! I have to go to soccer practice tonight with K and the dog because I have been absentee Mama lately and I promised.

On another note entirely: I will be in Chapel Hill for a family wedding on the 23rd - I am booked Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday, but could get breakfast/coffee Monday morning before we left if anyone is game.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

I could maybe do that! I normally come into work very early, but I could probably make a case for coming in late on Monday, since I am working on Saturday. I have a meeting at 10 a.m., but if we can do breakfast before that, I'd love to!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Thanks for a lovely dinner at Georgia Brown's, Todd! Really nice to see you again.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

aw, it was so good to see you! I do wish it hadn't been quite so noisy, though.

Woot! It would be lovely to see you! We could stick around through lunch, too, since we no longer have to be home by a certain time on Monday, if that would be better.

Either one! I have a 1:30 staff meeting, so we could meet right after my 10:00, and then have plenty of time for lunch, or I could go straight from breakfast to my 10:00, and we could have plenty of time for breakfast!

Sunil, are you interested in Secret Science Club?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ooh, interesting! Huh, let me see if my dinner companion is interested. Could be fun and science-y.

I guess now would be a good time to remind NYC folks that I have a reading next Sunday afternoon. Also I am summoning people to the Black Tap Meatpacking District next Saturday at 2 to gorge on ridiculous milkshakes.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hey I'm in Chicago in early May for the Nebulas, no idea of my schedule yet, but hi.

I should be free in the evenings and on the weekend. I'd love to see you!

Do nominees get put up at the Palmer House?

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

I'll be in Chicago for work Thursday, April 28, but I won't know until (hopefully) later this week whether I'll actually even be free for drinks/dinner. There may be a work dinner that would eat up my free time, but they haven't decided on that yet. And then I fly home the next day.

So once I know something conclusive, I'll post again.
