I'm on call this weekend, but might be able to join the fun.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
It's been so long since we've gone anywhere without kids that I don't even know how to Google for non kid-friendly stuff to do.
LA must-sees that aren't horribly touristy? Cool brunch places?
Maybe the Getty Museum? And of the notable places I enjoyed eating, the Cha Cha Cha Cafe is still open.
We're going to try and see the UCB show Friday night, so who's in for Saturday brunch? And where do people live? I'm no good with LA geography.
I'm down in South LA county, overlooking the port of Long Beach/Los Angeles.
Most everyone else is north of me.
And if anyone wants to join us for the UCB show, please do! Maybe we can meet for dinner beforehand.
I'd be up for Saturday brunch but I may or may not have a car with me so I may need a ride. I'm in West LA so not far from you if my memory is correct.
LA can be many different things depending on what you're into. There's the Getty, or you can see LACMA and the Farmer's Market in one easy combo. The skating rinks downtown and in Santa Monica are still up. Oh, and there's the Santa Monica pier / 3rd Street Promenade (shopping) now that I think of it. Those last two are pretty busy/touristy. I like Venice beach, Abbot Kinney Ave, and Main Street Santa Monica more than the promenade, but that's probably my childhood preference coming thru.
There are more buffistae on the east side of town and in Pasadena than on the westside, so they can give recs for there. Pasadena is pretty great for walking/shopping too.
Ok, I think we're going to try for this place on Saturday and go to Grifith Observatory before or afterwards. Is noon good for people? How many, if we make a reservation?
Mmm, that looks delicious although Saturday at noon will be hard for me unless I can figure out a way to offload chauffeur duties onto someone. Ordinarily we have a carpool for the kids' Saturday art class but she's not going this week, and Cody is going to a conference in Pasadena. If it were more like 11 I might be able to drop, come by, and then go pick up kids afterwards. Or maybe I could bring the kids and come later? Phooey.
SFistas, I'm going to meet Brenda for dinner tomorrow at 5:15p near the Embarcadero. I know it's early for people, but let us know if you want to join.
