A friend of mine from college is the banjo player for the Panorama Jazz Band, and they have a standing gig at 6PM at the Spotted Cat on Frenchmen every Saturday night.
That sounds good but conflicts with Saturday Smonster party.

Yeah, I didn't think I would get to see his set again this time. I'm hoping I'll find another time to get together with him, but I don't have his phone number (or I think I did when I was in NOLA, but I can't find it). But I need him to get back to me on FB. We'll see!

NOLAistas, can you kindly tell me what to expect weather-wise while we are having a great adventure in your fair city? I looked but it doesn't go quite that far ahead. I'm thinking upper 80's lower 90's in the daytime, 70s at night, possibly a lot of rain showers?
Does that sound right?
