Are they in Seattle yet?
Probably too late now, but would it help to show her a flight-tracking web site like FlightAware? It doesn't change the "they're-not-here"-ness, but following along with someone's travel can still make for a sense of connection.
That's a good idea, dcp. Gotta remember to get their flight info next time so she can do that. She'll be all over it.
I can vouch from Ple's FB post that they are currently stuck circling SEATAC.
Nah, we were stuck outside SeaTac waiting for my parents to pick us up.
Where shall we meet Sunday, July 26, in SF?
I guess when you mess up a link you lose everything.
Anyway, I wanted to suggest Saha, which is a tasty Yemeni place on my block that also does a brunch menu of both their specialties and "regular" breakfast items. Lots of vegetarian options. It's smallish though so if we want to do that we should probably reserve sooner rather than later.
I can come up with other places, but no matter how tired the runner, that trek should be doable.
I can't do next sunday because it is a work day
glad I go t to see the Seattle people if only briefly.
enjoyed hang with the girls ( energetic is the word for them ) and meeting Shrift
and it was a lovely day in SF
Unfortunately, I think this weekend is going to be all about work--Saturday there is a work social thing I have to go to, and Sunday is probably going to be work work, so I am going to miss all the visitor fun.
Just in case that changes though, can you post all the fun plans?
Sorry to miss you, Lee!
For anyone interested and free, let's do Sylvie's selection Saha at 1:30 on Sunday.
Also I have a Scola and a Hec and we are wandering around the beautiful Huntington Gardens and all is right with the world.
