Tentatively thinking Saturday brunch at Juliana's workplace.
?? I wouldn't recommend Momo's as a brunch spot - too pricey for what you get. I only work there weekdays anyways. (Although the deck is nice on nice days.)

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

I'm down for brunch wherever.

I've got to be in the Mission by 3, so brunch in the city somewhere would work, preferably close to BART.
or yell "Stella!" in the street. Or best of all, text me and I'll send Matilda to collect you.
Clearly, the best option is to yell "Stella!" in the street and then have Matilda collect you.
That was fun! Not the part where my car broke down when I tried to drive the Ple family to my house.
No, that part was not fun.
But Muni carried Ple Fam to the house of appetizers and the tow truck came presently and when I arrived everybody was in a festive mood.
And then...Pleiades pulled out the Educational DVD from the 90s from the Fish and Wildlife Service starring the teenaged Chris Evans. And then, in true Buffistae fashion, we spun backstories about all the teen actors, mocked on the young Mr. Evans floppy emo hair and shrift contemplated how to leverage this for Yuletide. And we showed Steven Universe to Sean and Lilly and all enjoyed it.
You know - like Buffistas do.
So we will find a brunch place for this Saturday, close to BART and probably in the SoMa and/or Mission area. So that should be workable for everybody.
Brunch suggestions:
The Cavalier
Samovar Tea Lounge
Town's End
Foreign Cinema
Slanted Door
The Plant Cafe Organic
I would selfishly love any of the first four because I haven't been to them and they sound wonderful. The last two I have been to and liked, so I would not complain about those either.

Biodiversity: Wild About Life! for those who want some classic mid-90s fashion and a loose narrative that was really just an excuse to tie together all sorts of Fish and Wildlife footage of animals from the before times through the then times. Remember how I talked in Natter about how a 16 year old Evans had clearly not been hit by the puberty fairy yet? Yeah.
Of those brunch options, which is the best when you have a ... somewhat hyper and hard to socialize small thing?
Personnel-wise, I think The Cavalier would be best equipped for that but Samovar might be good too. I also told Hec about Mission Rock, which has a lot of space & a gorgeous deck. However, the brunch crowd might be a little hard-drinking.
Do we have any NYCistas? I'm going to be in town Tuesday evening through midday Sunday of next week for RWA, and I have some unscheduled lunches and dinners.
