I have a cold and have to miss dinner with Hil and the family flea. :( That deserves an emoticon.
However, because Tim (1) is gregarious and an extrovert, (2) needs to get out of the house since he's been cooped up after getting out of the hospital, (3) is hungry, and (4) knows and likes the family flea a lot (though I fear for the crazy schemes that Tim and Mr. flea could hatch if given enough time), he's headed up to have dinner with them in my stead.

Bayistas, it's not public yet because I don't have an email saying "this is what you are doing" but Greg Van Eekhout mentioned it on Twitter, so hopefully I can say this publicly soon, but I'd rather say it here first anyway: I will be in your area, reading at Writers with Drinks on Saturday Sept. 12, and at Borderlands on Sept. 15 was part of Greg's launch.
There will hopefully be more to say regarding other things but they don't tell me nothin'.
Meantime, Philly area folks, if you are near (preferably in) the Rittenhouse Square Barnes & Noble on Sept 1, I will put a drink and a cupcake in your hands.
