Thanks Pete! I've sent an e-mail to them pimping the event. Hopefully they are up to going (as I'll be relying on them for travel).
ETA: Upadate!
My friend responded:
Sounds like fun. She looks like a hoot! I think I need some of her line of clothing... Let's keep this on the possibilities list.
Looks promising! Woot!!
Now that I have tickets I want to move on immediately to figuring out prom wear. But anything I buy now likely won't fit by then so I'm stymied. Why isn't it June already?
I'm looking at flights, and unless prices come down, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it this year. Next year, though, I hope to.
Will next year be an East Coast f2f?
Yes. At least according to tradition.
Screw tradition; next year's F2F will be in my apartment. 500 square feet of FUN, not including the attic!
Them's fighting words. Do
not
mess with the rotation.
I wonder if South West will make it in the rotation while I am still in Dallas. I'm surprised how many little museums and historical things there are around here. And if it's timed during the Texas State Fair, even better.
t /lobbying for Big-D-F2F. Texas Style Hold us!
eta
did I mention it's a hub city?
omnis, I adore you and totally dig the wanting to have it in your back yard, but Romance Writers of America is headquartered in Texas and every few years we have national conference in Dallas. I've been to Dallas twice in the last four years and Houston one other time. If we're to do Texas can we lobby for Austin? San Antonio?
Those would be my top two Texas choices. Sorry, omnis.
