I'd recommend a B&B on Prytania Street in the Lower Garden District or on Elysian Fields in the Marigny.

I HIGHLY recommend Elysian Fields Inn I stay there every time that I'm in town. Jim and Leah, the owners, are absolutely lovely (from Virginia). It's about a five minute walk from the Three Muses, a great bar with fantastic cocktails and great music. Also, the Praline Connection and the Marigny Brasserie are right there. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Quarter.

So I'm up for Game Night if someone can pick me up. I'm not sure if the Metro goes to Pasadena, but I presume it would take a lot longer.
