I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

Brunch was delicious. Tommmyrot, SailAweigh, dcp, and Shir are off visiting the Bean.

shrift, did you already buy tickets?

I just bought 3 tickets to King Lear for you, me, and dcp. Tommyrot, Brenda, and Aurelia are maybes.

Music Box Theatre is at 3733 N Southport Ave. We're planning to meet up around 11am.

If anyone wants to eat after, some ideas (the Cubs have a game tomorrow and so do the Blackhawks, so places may be busy):

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm at the Music Box. They said King Lear will be selling out.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I slept in, but let me know where you're headed after.

I am so glad I got to spend yesterday with 'ffistas. Meeting Shir was a real treat. It was fun seeing her reactions to everything and getting to chit-chat as we wandered around the city. We did some sightseeing (the Bean and the art institute), some shopping (books and chocolates to die for), walked for miles, rode trains when we got tired, and ate a lot of very good food. Yummy vegetarian brunch at the Chicago Diner (cinnamon French toast FTW.) Kudos to the Farmhouse; it was everything it was cracked up to be. My meal of grilled trout was excellently prepared and the craft beer I tried, a chocolate stout called Dino S'mores, was absolutely one of the very best stouts I've ever imbibed. Wish I could have stayed overnight to spend another day, but the cat was so happy to have me come home to force pills down his throat and squirt antibiotics in his ear. Yeah, right.

Thanks for making it such a great day Shir, dcp, tommyrot, shrift and brenda!
