F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I'm down with the Monaco. I'd like to arrive Thursday night and leave Sunday night or Monday morning.
Now it's just time to start working on an outfit for Prom.
Too bad I can't do strapless.
Monaco sounds good to me... now to figure out a schedual -- though I am guess at best we will arrive late friday and leave sunday after noon .
Guess I better talk to Matt about the details. - other than I know he is interested in going ...
If prices are that close, I'm inclined to go with Guitar Hero/wine happy hour, & free wifi (iirc) place.
My goal is to arrive Thursday. I'm not sure when I'm leaving, as I'll visit local friends when done with f2f.
eta Leave late Sunday or early Monday.
Yay, Monaco. My tax refund is substantial, so I think I will actually be able to go, woo-hoo!
Smonster, I'd offer to put you up at my place, but I'm in the northwest 'burbs--very inconvenient to get to unless your conference is in the O'Hare area.
We could definitely arrange a dinner, however!
Regarding cars, either Cass or I (or possibly both) will be driving up from Portland, so that's 1 or 2 more cars. I don't particularly want to drive all weekend long, but I don't mind doing some runners if need be.
The Monaco sounds fabulous and really eager to have us, which seems promising. I am a sucker for pretty.
I'm 90% sure I'm in town that week and can offer a sofa to sleep on if need be.
Kathy, thanks anyway. Hope to get to see you while I'm there.
brenda, I should know in the next few days whether that will be necessary. Thanks so much for offering! Are you reasonably close to public transportation?
Monaco has dropped the double room rate to $179/night from $189 (Single queen suite remains at $169). I say we go with them - they're super eager to work with us.
