Cash - that was disturbing, odd and confusing.
Strega - oh my. eating their own. Fox, tabloid?? wow, that is a revalation - apparently ok if the people are coastie elite liberals, but not a Palin, oh my no. Someone should send that link to KO.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

We should totally have the next East coast f2f at Barack's new house! They have plenty of room, and there's catering on site.
Is there a field for that on the transition team application form?

Yeah. Plus there are two 747s that get used as Air Force One, so I'm sure he'd let us borrow those to get everyone there....
Hee! Strega is my new best friend. That's just the kind of yummy schadenfreude I want in my pie.
eta: Man, I really am a mean, petty little person.
I don't care, I'm just taking note of it.
A little sidetrack from wacky videos to follow up on Obama's possible GenX status--back in the early 1990s, when they published Generations, Strauss and Howe defined the Baby Boomers as being born from 1943 to 1960, and GenX (as it later became known) as 1961 to 1981.
Their definitions for generational borders take a defining point and go back a few years to cover any overlap, so that even though demographically, Boomers begin in 1946, personality-wise, it's 1943. This matches my own family, in that my mom (1939) is very Silent generation, but my aunt (1944) is very Boomer.
For GenX, they took Kennedy's assassination and went back a few years to 1961, which also matched up with the anecdotes they started hearing from professors in 1979, about how the incoming freshman were distinctly different from the preceding years. The Boomer college freshman would have the profs lining up to introduce themselves to the students, but these new freshman were lining up to introduce themselves to the profs. Also, the takeover of the embassy in Iran that fall had a mobilizing impact on these students, in that they became very "USA, USA!" in a way that the profs had never seen from the older students. Again, this is reflected in my own family--my brother (1961, a few months older than Obama, actually!) is much more like my sister and me (very GenX) than our older cousins, who are very Boomer.
I might have posted something that alluded to this, but here it is, in the flesh: Operation Leper
RedState is pleased to announce it is engaging in a special project: Operation Leper.
We're tracking down all the people from the McCain campaign now whispering smears against Governor Palin to Carl Cameron and others. Michelle Malkin has the details.
We intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them. Naturally then, you'll see us go to war against those candidates.
It is our expressed intention to make these few people political lepers.
They'll just have to be stuck at CBS with Katie's failed ratings.
Initial list:
1. Nicolle Wallace
2. Steve Schmidt
Note: I've deleted McKinnon. I trust the source, but I'm getting very strong denials from other people I trust and McKinnon is very adamantly denying it. We've confirmed the other two.
That Schadenfreude Pie looks delicious.
I think Stewart and others should keep their jobs. Even good kings need court jesters.
I didn't make a Schadenfreude Pie. I baked an Obama Cake of Change. It tasted less bitter.
Yellow cake with milk chocolate frosting.
I bet you're wondering what happens to all the furniture, supplies, and appliances used by Obama campaign offices now that the election is over. Wonder no more: they're being donated. 200 offices across the country have already donated or have pledged to to schools in their communities via iLoveSchools.com.
I was thinking about the Boomer/GenX thing last night, too, and also about how GenY has almost completely embraced Obama and tried to make him their own. (He's GenX's, goddammit. Get offa my lawn.)
Which, I have nothing pithy, just a realization that my generation is growing up and leading and OMGWTF we're adults now??
