Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, you know what bugs me about the "Natter 61*" name? There are a number of programs that will put an asterisk next to a file name if the file has changes and has not been saved. Often you'll see this in a document tab in the program. So when I see Natter 61* in the Mozilla tab out of the corner of my eye, I get the weird feeling like I'm supposed to do save something....

Happy Birthday, Nilly!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Emmett!!!!!

I am so full of gronk today. I started sneezing a lot on Sunday night, and then woke up yesterday with a full-blown cold. This morning, it was stuffed-up nose and sneezing, now with added dry mouth (due to mouth breathing all night because of said stuffed-up nose). Grr.

I blame my mom, who is sick herself on the east coast and concluded her phone call with me on Sunday with the prescient phrase, "Now, don't you get sick, too!"

Good thing that's happening right now is that I'm actually getting started on Christmas presents! My niece's earrings are shipping today, my sister's cross-stitch piece is moving along nicely (should be done by mid-October at the latest), and then I can get started on Mom's cross-stitch piece. Dad will be getting a bottle of B&B, BIL will be getting a book I've already bought, and everyone else will get gift cards. I should have everything purchased and maybe even wrapped by Thanksgiving! This is huge, since just a few years ago, I had to ship all my gifts out overnight on 12/23, which is more typical of how I shop.

Art Crawl!!!

Sarah Palin banned reporters from her meeting with world leaders - allowing only photographers and a tv crew. And then:

CNN, which was providing the television coverage for news organizations, decided to pull its TV crew, effectively denying Palin the high visibility she had sought

Ha!

“Not dead yet!”

Puppy and kitty picspam. I honestly think Jasmine believes she blends in. (Well, she sort of does) and really, could Jack-Jack spill over the edge of the box any further. (He used to fit on it with no overlap.)

At least the cat's got good taste-- it's a box set of Ray Charles' Atlantic Recordings.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

More Kitty Picspam, in which Perkins the cat is hiding from me following this weekend's vet visit.

Juliana, I want the cake Barb linked to for next year, okay?

Coding and Sleeping

Those are some cute critters.

This is a nice picture of the shuttles on their launchpads. This is the first time there have been two shuttles on their launchpads at the same time since 2001.
