And yeah, sarameg, I am just smitten with him. I got a response to every correspondence I have ever aimed at him, in whatever media. And his staff or whoever definitely responded personally in some cases, because they addressed specific points I'd asked or commented about. And then later on, after the vote had hit for whatever hot-button issue I'd asked about, I'd get additional automatic correspondence letting me know how he'd voted on the issue.
I know that's probably just good database management, but as a geek I appreciate that, too.
Furthermore, I just think that Tom Udall is a man of ethics and a genuine statesman. I think your dad will be very pleased with his future interaction with him.

Yeah, that's the kind of thing I think is important for elected officials in this day and age. I don't need to think that someone is sitting writing me a personal letter all the time, but I want accurate information that's meaningful to me.
