MTV asks Matt Fraction, Warren Ellis, & Peter David how comic book characters would vote:

“The Authority would in fact have banned voting by this point and Jenny Sparks would be choosing our local leaders for us,” said Ellis of the team in his wildly popular superheroes-as-government series. “However, Obama would stand a good chance of being selected as America’s community organizer. Mind you, Jenny Sparks was an infamous drunk, so, frankly, so would Jesse Ventura, John C. McGinley or Bubbles from ‘The Wire.’”

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG- I just talked to two very nice registered Democrats at my job who started out being pro-obama but after reading"some things" about him decided that McCain was the lesser of two evils. Also, they don't want to vote for Obama in case he is assassinated. One of them also couldn't figure out why being pro-choice or pro-life or pro or anti gay marriage would figure into voting!?!

Argh argh argh argh.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

HARTFORD, Conn. — Gay marriages in Connecticut can start Nov. 12.
Superior Court Judge Jonathan Silbert on Monday scheduled a hearing on that date to enter the final judgment in the case that allows same-sex marriages in the state.

YAY! Go home state, go!

I voted this morning also. It was incredible. So much energy and excitement! We live in a very diverse area with a high African American population, and I saw and heard more than a couple of things that made me tear up this morning. I barely got to school in time for my first class at 8:30, but it was totally worth it to be there before the polls even opened and already see a line stretching around the corner.

I, too, am going to be a total news junky today.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

what do they figure into their voting? tax plans and the war only?

Economy mostly, and they think that McCain has a lot more experience.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

they think that McCain has a lot more experience.

Does "consistently doing the wrong thing" count as experience?

WITH THE ECONOMY?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

WITH THE ECONOMY?

Sure. He went to that meeting where they didn't do anything. And he married very well. He knows a lot about money!
