Punishingly Intricate

I am going out to vote around noon

I had a dream the other night that I went back to Delaware to vote because they had early voting and it was considered to be a swing state. My polling place was the Concord Mall (where my friends & I hung out in highschool) and the line went down 202 about 3 miles. I was talking to people at the end of the line and they were all voting for Obama so I decided I could vote in Maryland instead.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Those pups have really grown. They're really looking like Shibas now and not generic balls of fluff.

They are! Ears are coming up and everything.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I voted!!!

I was going to wait until lunchtime, but I got up early and decided to head over and see if there was a line. There was NO ONE there, so I was in and out within 10 minutes.

I was actually a bit giddy when I pressed the touchscreen for Obama/Biden! And I even went back and triple-checked my vote for them to make sure it recorded properly. And, when I was driving away from the church down the street to work, I started singing, "We're gonna get a new preee-sident! We're gonna get a new preeee-sident!!"

Oh, and I got an "I voted" sticker, too.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So I just got back from voting. And I'm sporting patriotic red shirt (union day at work today) with a blue shirt (go dems!) on top of that.

The line was 15 people deep when I got there at 15 minutes before. By the time the polls opened, it was 27 people.

I voted no on lots of propositions and I had an issue with some of the top line inkavote not inking when I voted. But I checked it so no big.

I'm sporting my sticker.

Lori tells me that the line at Starbucks is 11 people long.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

IONonElectionN, Gay marriages in Connecticut to begin Nov. 12

HARTFORD, Conn. — Gay marriages in Connecticut can start Nov. 12.

Superior Court Judge Jonathan Silbert on Monday scheduled a hearing on that date to enter the final judgment in the case that allows same-sex marriages in the state.

Woo-hoo!

“Not dead yet!”

Oh God, please get me out of this city...

Seriously, I'm not sure I can last until the kids graduate high school.

Hee! Mine would have been Christiana Mall. A swing state - I love it! I think I am going to treat myself to lunch at the Charcoal Pit after I vote (not the One True Charcoal Pit, though - I have a closer one now.)
