You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

Oooh, I got a robocall that I actually listened to! (I was initially distracted by the fact the rep has the same name phonetically as my dad & so stuck around to hear what the issue was!) It was anti-slots.

I got another that started out all "throw the bastards out" so I hung up before I figured out the cause.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am suprised to learn how many states close voting at 7 -- ours are open until 9! So I'm just going to go after my regular work day, even though they offered us time off. AND they open at 6am.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Dudes, we've got the free coffee, doughnuts, and ice cream covered, but how could we have overlooked the Free Election-Day Sex Toys?

Uh...

My polls are open 7 am to 8 pm.

Because books.

I know in New York State, too, it's a law that you can request two hours off to vote at the beginning or end of your shift, if your shift covers most of your polling place hours.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My polls are open 7 am to 8 pm.

That's what she said.

I did not know that was a law! I thought it was our big bosses being nice! Huh. Although, I don't know if 9-5 counts as "most." But when you add in a 1.5 hour commute like a lot of people have, and it gets tighter.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Georgia law also requires employers to give employees time to vote.

At this point tomorrow night, I may be soused.

I did not know that was a law!

I didn't either, until they posted a notice about it on our time clock.
