[link] These are almost right. But the ones I'm looking for have sort of hashings on the ends that click in with each other. If that makes sense. The clicking and connection is on the ends not between the bulbs of the stars. So close!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Those are cool, Kat! I think Owen would like those. He loves fine motor toys. I like that Amazon store. I'm going to have do do some window shopping there.

Woot! All ordered. I have 16 more papers to grade. I guess I should get on that, huh? Ugh.

“Not dead yet!”

YA author Libba Bray writes about "What's wrong with being smart?" and the presidential election. Good stuff, y'all [link]

Almost as good as the pizza I had for dinner tonight-- thin crust (the One True Crust) pancetta, caramelized onions, and Brie. Nom nom nom

Because books.

Ooh, thanks, Barb! I adore Libba.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also my uncle told me that he had danced to the same song at his wedding, +- 40 years ago.

Well that's just romantic.

Barb, thanks. Sent that to mom (though I'd just talked to her and dad.) As I said to her, it is preaching to the choir for us, but right now? It's nice to hear.

I'm incredibly (or not, I call myself Eyeore at work) worried. The goddamned GOP fear-lie ad that just aired doesn't help.

But I have a kitten stuffed in my fleece. And l love him, even if he wakes me up at 5 am. So not all is worrisome.

“Not dead yet!”

I found it remarkably telling, sara, that there are German and Italian teenagers who are as mystified by how close the election is as those of us "elitist" types.

And I'm right there with you in the worried corner-- given the living in Florida thing and all. I'll be wearing my tin foil hat until at least Wednesday.

Also: kitties in fleece are as wonderful as puppies on feet. All is definitely not worrisome.
