They CANNOT come back.

(shudders)

This morning I emailed someone on Kijiji about their cat that they are giving away. A very cute orange cat.

Seriously, the return of Hammer pants has to be a sign of the apocalypse. (I accidentally wrote "sigh of the apocalypse".) If they do come back, we may deserve the apocalypse.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If Hammer pants are returning, there's just no way you can deny it's Hammer Time, right?

(shudder)

Let's suppose our goal is that everyone have fun tonight. Would the fact that it's Hammer time preclude us from everyone Wang Chung tonight?

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

It's all a matter of good time management. If Wang Chung is on for tonight, you'll just have to pencil in some Hammer Time before or after then.

From the Wang Chung FAQ:

OK, let's establish this up front, what does Wang Chung stand for, anyway?

NICK FELDMAN: "Wang Chung is the feeling, not the word. It represents an abstract, an escape from pragmatic, complex ideas. We get asked all the time about the supposed secret meaning of the name. I mean, everyone can relax -- Wang Chung means whatever you want it to mean. Have fun with it. That's the whole idea of the line 'Everybody Wang Chung Tonight,' in the song 'Everybody Have Fun Tonight' on the Mosaic album. It can mean a tribal dance, a Viennese waltz, a party in New York, or whatever."

So, "Everyone Wang Chung tonight" could in fact refer to Hammer Time.
