On days like this, when it's starting to be winter but I'm not quite ready for this yet on any level (note to self: buy winter clothing), I'm glad I have hot drinks, good music and an Edward Lear anthology in reach.

Happy Birthday Aurelia!
What the fuck is wrong with the Colts this season?
Peyton came back to soon from surgery, the O-line is on life support and Marvin Harrison has lost at least a step.
I'm REALLY curious to see how the similarly critical condition Pats do against the Colts next weekend.
Happy birthday, aurelia!

Ooh, I wish I had those things! Instead I have an annoying rainy-day commute (the train I take has issues with the weather...) and stupid work! Oh well.
Happy Birthday, Aurelia!
Do you understand the cartoons in The New Yorker? Take this quiz: [link]

Happy birthday, Aurelia!
I just saw this on Lifehacker via LJ and thought I would pass it on - super-cheap restaurant gift cards.
Web site Restaurant.com sells gift certificates to participating restaurants all over the country, often offering deeply discounted prices. Right now the site is selling $25 gift certificates for $10, which isn't a bad start, but from now until Halloween, entering TREATS at the checkout applies a second 80% discount to the sales price. The result is a supremely cheap $25 gift card for just $2. Want to aim higher? The same discount applies to more expensive gift cards as well, so you can snag a $50 gift card for $4, $100 for $8, and so on.
FUCKING SNOW IN MARYLAND NO.
I heard that report this morning too! "Blah blah blah SNOW SHOWERS." But it must mean for western MD. It's cold but not THAT cold here.
Perkins, it's supposed to warm up to normal fall weather by Friday.
YAY
We're still working out details of our arrival on Saturday, but we will be there by mid-afternoon.
