Happy Birthday Matilda!
Where is she located, ita?
Reflexively I want to say "Stupidland," but the correct answer is Florida.
Okay, I'm going to shoot for a nap now, or Friday will be undoable.

Frequently the two are synonymous. (In no way indicating any Buffistas with whom share residency in this state with the nutjobs.)
We Think Alike, GG.
I have skimmed a lot recently, have people posted about the anti-Palin rally in Alaska?
ION, NO DESIRE TO BE ANYWHERE BUT BED. rainy yucky very horrible bad day.
From the Washington Post about the bailout:
Thus far, an objective observer would have to say that Congress has behaved well in the days since Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson delivered a three-page ransom note that said, and I paraphrase, "Give me $700 billion, or I'd hate to see anything bad happen to that nice economy of yours."
Hee.
Hivemind! A professor is looking for a definition of pornography -- it has to be a non-political definition, but something from the dictionary won't do. I need a neutral group, such as a social science organization, and I'm not coming up with anything. I'm also not inclined to walk over to the main library, because it's rainy and we're short staffed today.
The Attorney General considers it "futile" to try and define it.
Human Airbag wraps elderly in protective technology
As the country with one of the fastest rising elderly populations on the planet (a whopping 22 percent of the population is over 65) Japan's innovators have begun planning for life in a mostly grey society. The latest invention geared towards such a reality is the human airbag. Developed by Mitsuya Uchida, the president of Japanese firm Prop, the device was originally designed to help elderly citizens with epilepsy.
The airbag deploys in just 0.1 seconds when sudden falling motion is detected, protecting both the neck and torso areas. Despite the somewhat humorous effect the device offers visually, at 138,000 yen ($1,290) this is probably one of the most thoughtful giftsyou could give the elderly loved one in your life.
My quote of the day so far:
"I didn't know I was going to be the referee for an internal GOP ideological civil war," Congressman Barney Frank said on CBS's "The Early Show" today.
