Brenda, loved the Lucy update. Hate that she's frustrated, but glad that it's motivating her to start figuring things out.
So far, I've been to the store (again), come home, made chili (house smells like cumin and tomatoes and cinnamon and anise and rum), cleaned and changed the catbox, am contemplating leaving the trashbag with the dirty litter hanging on Nate's door and in a minute, I'll get up and make cornbread.
This is the most I've done on my ankle in a week. I can't decide how much it hurts. I think I'll figure it out after I'm done doing stuff and can put it up.
I just got a news alert from MSNBC on the Syrian raid.
Still sending vibes to Lucy. It is tough, but she sounds determined. No doubt her memory of the difficult transition will be shorter than yours, Brenda.

Huh. At the moment, no comment from the US military.
My prediction on the comment to come: "Wait,
where's
the border? ...Oh, crap. Sorry?"
Much ~ma come out to you and Lucy, Brenda. Thanks for the updates.

That's my prediction, too.
My prediction? It was the A-Team. Or perhaps Gilligan's Commandos....
All I want to do outside of my apartment today is get a manicure, and I'm not sure I can even bring myself to do that. Pathetic!
I just gave the lawyer here at the firm my notice, and his response was the one you always want to hear from your boss: "Nooooo!"
He understood when I explained my meltdown on Thursday night, and he approved me putting up a note in the breakroom at the bookstore to see if anyone there would be interested. I'm hoping that they can get someone by the time I go on vacation in mid-November, so I won't have to worry about coming back to 7-day workweeks.
