My father bought a house where the half-bath had a black toilet, black sink, and black wallpaper with flocked panther heads with yellow eyes. It was so creepy to pee in there.
AWESOME.
Happy birthday, Kate!
Allyson, did I say WTF? Because WTF. You needed to get out of there months ago, and it's still true.
Why do I have a headache and no drugs? Why.
Happy birthday to the coolest Kate I know!
Just got caught up, and everything not related to Kate's natal day I might have had to say is lost in sputtering rage for Allyson. You've had a horrible feeling about these jackholes and this job for months, and it's long past time for you to be out of there and on your way to someplace better. Which, at this point, sounds like anyplace that's not this.
Allyson, I am full of rage towards your employer--especially since you spent so much time and effort on that symposium. I hope you can find another job quickly and tell them to fuck off.
Happy Birthday, Kate P!
Barb, it's umpossible!
Happy Birthday Kate!
Allyson, may your bosses be saddled with real-life Sheldons and Howards from Big Bang Theory.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Check this out: Michele Bachmann, the one who said the media should investigate Congress to find which member are anti-American, has just lost all RNCC funding. Before her comments, she was looking at a comfortable victory. Now they've given up on her.
Or, they are comfortably sure she'll win anyway and don't feel compelled to fund a race they think she'll win handily.
Allyson, WTF? they should realize they're lucky to have you - and once you find a better job and leave, they will.
Why is it that so many places don't appreciate good people when they have them? I had dinner with friends last night and one was telling me about how her office refuses to promote from within - they pass over good people to hire less qualified ones from outside. damn.
So sorry Allyson. I hope you find something.
In totally unrelated news, Robin Givhan (who writes about fashion) commented on Sarah Palin's wardrobe, style choices, etc.
There was a brief piece in the same issue of the paper (which I can't find online) about checking out prices at the local Neiman Marcus for a lot (don't remember the exact amount, but it was all designer stuff, name brands, real jewelry), then going across the street to Loehmann's and getting something comparable for under $500.
Yeah - she's getting slammed on this.
