I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Heh. They'd be happy to have lunch with her but they don't want her anywhere near the White House. I share half of that opinion.

Whoah. The government just seized WaMu and sold it to J.P. Morgan. They usually wait until Friday evening to do that sort of thing.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Patricia Unterman's occasional restaurant reviews

Which you can get at Eater SF and never have to worry about that rag again.

Huh.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Everything I saw all day was expecting it or something like it to happen tonight.

Sigh. Have to get off my ass and get an account at FirstTech for my pin money. (My account has been with WaMu for 11 years, almost 12. Most of my paycheck goes into the joint credit union account, but there's still a wad of it that goes to WaMu.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Woah. I am more and more glad that the bank I met with yesterday was JPMorgan Chase.

Dag, you guys -- I'm watching the Daily Show from the other night, and this shit isn't even funny, it's so scary.

I guess now JP Morgan has all of my money.

This is all doubly weird because we have a lot of clients in this industry (none of the ones who've been making the big headlines thus far, for the most part) so I keep speculating about the various business implications of all this, beyond the general (and now personal) economy stuff.
