I'd rather stay home and watch television. It's often funnier than killing stuff.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't remember if it's so much so in the movies, but in the Thin Man book, they are WASTED all the time! I mean, sure, they're always drinking, but in the book, they keep passing out and always feel like shit and etc. It's kind of fascinating.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

::hands Sophia a martini::

Why thank you!

Seriously-- there is drinking but little consequence! There are fun shenanigans! There is detecting! And love! And a dog!

In the first movie, yes they were that wasted. They both sport hangovers at different times. Her looking very cute with an ice pack perched so chicly on her head. Him plinging away at the Christmas tree with his BB gun. As the movies went on, the drinking was curbed drastically.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

The Thin Man is pretty much how I wished my life would be.

Without a doubt! The Thin Man is made of awesomeness.

Ah. I'm just saying -- there's always having/making a drink, and then there's blotto.

Now tagless for your comfort.

He just ran up to a total stranger and said, "I'M GOING TO BE BATMAN!" It was funny. Her reaction to a girl Robin was funnier.

Pretty much.

Nora: Say, how many drinks have you had?
Nick: This will make six martinis.
Nora (to waiter): All right. Will you bring me five more martinis, Leo? And line them right up here.

Nora: What hit me?
Nick: The last martini. How about a pick-me-up?

Nora: Is that my drink over there?
Nick: What are you drinking?
Nora: Rye.
Nick: (He picks up the glass and slugs down its contents.) Yes. That's yours.

“Not dead yet!”

I have a fucked up ankle. I really don't need a new pair of pumps.

I especially don't need a new pair of Stewies, especially not in the grey. [link]

Nope. Not needed at all...

In other news, last week or something, Dennis Quaid was on the Ellen Degeneres show, and she put him with a thing in his ear and sent him to Starbucks and made him say stuff, and I swear to god, it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Here, enjoy: [link]
