Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Planet Koozebane

YES! I will have to watch that when I get home and can listen to it too, because the vocalizations are one of the funniest things about that.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I still yearn to find footage of Gilda Radner singing "Poor Wandering One" on The Muppet Show, as that's the version that burned its way into my skull rather than the Linda Rondstadt performance on Broadway.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Get kleenex. LOTS AND LOTS.

They were conveniently close by. Good thing. And then I watched the Koozebanian mating ritual.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

A solution to the economic crisis by Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones [link]

We had layoffs yesterday, so I sent this to those of us still left today. Layoffs suck!

I keep seeing this story on Google Finance

Greenspan Concedes to `Flaw' in His Market Ideology

The title reminds me of the Death Star in Star Wars IV.

"Sir, I've analyzed the market and there is a potential flaw in this economy, should we regulate?"

"Regulate now? In our moment of growth? I think you overestimate the risk."

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Favorite Muppet Show sketch?

Two that stand out that haven't been mentioned are "Time In a Bottle" sung by a young muppet who got older as he sang (put a lump in my wee young throat), and one with two old muppet dudes who called each other "old bean." My BFF at the time and I thought that was hysterical and called each other "old bean" for a long time after.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And here's the Swedish Chef with the bandito lobsters.

Possibly I should get back to work now.

I was wrong - the muppet starts old and gets progressively younger: [link]

Weird, I was remembering there being a young muppet on a beach...

“Not dead yet!”

Nate just came home from a horrible day at school.

I just showed him several Swedish Chef clips. All is now right with the world.
