Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Quote For The Day III

"Marrying a pirate is every Somali girl’s dream. He has power, money, immunity, the weapons to defend the tribe and funds to give to the militias in civil war," - from an op-ed in the Egyptian paper, Al Ahram.

It's more the scary crumpled ceiling that gets me.

One of my thing is I want central air...or a price that I can put it in soon after. I am not equipped to cope without air in this climate.

I also don't want too much of a fixer upper. I know my limits. I can deal with an old ugly kitchen for a period of time...I guess that's key: I want functional over pretty, but that doesn't need to be brand spanking new. And I kinda hate some of the new kitchens they put in. I'd rather have old cabinets I hate than new ones I hate (given I have the world's ugliest crap cabinets now, shouldn't be a surprise.)

(this is msbelle's doing. I have to give blamecredit where it is due.)

Ooh, one of the houses I looked at had the ugly cabinets, but they had custom-made organizing...contraptions inside. Pull outs and swivels and drawers-in-cabinets and it was amazing. Had I been able to afford that place, I just would have replaced the fronts eventually. The use of space was amazing.

Loki just went over to harass MK on the loveseat, did that, and then just curled up on his butt, wrapping his tail around him. LOVE. And this is with Devi asleep at the foot of the futon.

2 out of 3. 2 out of 3.

eta: and then MK got up for a drink.

(Well, MK is looking a little annoyed, but not enough to wake back up.)

Tom, seriously, army surplus?

My brother had that style of coat. He used to wear it while working on his car.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

24 beers!

Msbelle and I are thinking alike.

ETA; Uh, it's the same one...

Which includes the always important feature:

Made for the great white north, can handle more than the cold, can also carry 24 beers in the pockets.
