"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Did everybody already know there's a Muppet wiki?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

if you peel the popular adhesive tape off its roll in a vacuum chamber, it emits X-rays.

That's nifty!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I'm still getting over a cold and thus am a phlegm factory. I was in a checkout line on the way home and the clerk asked how I was doing. I replied, "Other than needing a Kleenex, I'm fine!" He popped under the counter and held out a box, and told me to take some for the road. I was so pleased that I said thank you AND waited until I was out of the store to blow my nose, because there is seriously an epic amount of snot still coming out of my head.

Also, my box of the Lymond Chronicles finally arrived from Amazon. And my Netflix of the BBC production of Sense & Sensibility. And I have vodka.

Today could be worse.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

my old company is doing a thing on Facebook where it makes a book (softsided magazine sized book) of all your friend's basic info and main picture and then all pictures you have on your FB page. Why would anyone want that?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Why would anyone want that?

I think it's for psychos to pin to their walls with weird bible verses and pictures of medieval torture devices, and then number in sheep's blood for future serial killing.

That is the only use I can imagine for such a thing, and I think the market is pretty niche.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Anyone here know Mendelssohn's Elijah? Colbert last night was talking about a god-off, after that one preacher with the "praying to Hindu, Buddha, etc." business, and all I can think of is the actual god-off in Elijah, and I can't find it on YouTube! It's literally the two groups praying to their two gods (Yahweh v. Ba'al) to kick the other one's ass.

Good times.

Thanks Allyson, I may send that to them as my comment.

by the by - if you still wanted kiddo readers of Sam, mac might be into that. He already knows about it and knows he is getting a copy once it is out for reals. he keeps saying, is it like Stellaluna? and I keep saying it's cooler.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the market is pretty niche.

Internet's all about the Long Tail.

I can't believe I have to do groceries again. Not being able to keep meat in my fridge more than a day really cramps my style. I never remember to defrost in time to make dinner.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I hate trying to keep meat in the fridge. I can usually get DH to stop by the market after work and pick up fresh, but he works less than a block from the store with the best butcher.

Olivia's new favorite song is "Old Macdonald" and she walks around the house humming and singing most of the day. Why do we teach them to talk again?

If I keep it thawed more than a day I risk migraines. It's really irritating.
