No. And yes. It's always sudden.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Hee. (Conservative) London Mayor Boris Johnson has endorsed Barack Obama. [link]

"Unlike the current occupant of the White House, he has no difficulty in orally extemporising a series of grammatical English sentences, each containing a main verb... Democracy and capitalism are the two great pillars of the American idea. To have rocked one of those pillars may be regarded as a misfortune. To have damaged the reputation of both, at home and abroad, is a pretty stunning achievement for an American president."

"The defining image of the battle so far is of the two candidates leaving the stage after the last TV debate - Obama moving confidently off, after another grave and measured performance, and McCain gagging like a gargoyle, tongue out, as he realised he was about to walk over the edge."

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Last used by McCain at the open of the RNC.

Yep. And I was worried we'd be seeing them through Nov., but thankfully nsm.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Our sweet little highschool babysitter supports McCain b/c she is extremely pro-choice - really sheltered very Catholic. I did get to correct her on thinking Obama supported same sex marriage, though. Oh no, I said, he should, but he doesn't. Then I went on to explain how what really needs to happen in this country is for government to only define and offer legal partnerships. Marriage should be taken out of all legal situations and should be a church mandated thing btw people and their God. Stupid word marriage. Stupid people and their hangups.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Hee. (After the few weeks that I've been having, that series of posts finally made me smile.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

So far, that's horrible disasters in two cities almost exactly two years after I leave. DC might want to watch out in the summer of 2012.

psst... She's a Jew you know

Does that mean we'll be fine until Yom Kippur?

Just keep her busy controlling the media and we should be ok.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The apple pie is too hot to eat as yet, but if smell is anything to go by it's gonna be great. That's the first time I've baked a dessert without it becoming a kitchen disaster in years!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

SERIOUSLY.

Oh, speaking of Jews, apparently NYC Jews are really powerful. It rained for like 10 minutes today -- right as my coworker's husband got out of temple, where they prayed for rain.
