The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Powell should still carry some weight but I think he was severely damaged by the Iraq war. I hate the thought of racists claiming he's supporting Obama just because he's black. Ugh. But I know that's going to be said.

Victor linked to Powell's announcement in his LJ, and it's pretty damning to McCain. He starts off saying McCain seemed unsure of what to do with the economy, and it doesn't get better from there.

Art Crawl!!!

Well, in the Meet the Press interview he did address the idea that people will claim that he only endorsed Obama because he's black. As in - if that were his reason he would have done it long ago.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Poor Joe the Plumber! He can't figure out why people are worried about him paying his taxes. Dude, don't bitch about paying mythical higher taxes when you're already not paying the taxes you owe.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Also, it may be closer than people think. Between voter purging and electronic voting machines, I think Obama needs to win by a minimum of 5 points to take the presidency. His average lead across all polls? 5.5 Points. When Obama tell people not to take his victory for granted, he is not kidding.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Actually, for once the early returns might not hurt the dem side. Turnout is depressed, but dramatically more so on the losing side.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Huh - earlier today, the water was shut off in our building for some maintenance work. Now everything is back on except our bathroom sink. The toilet and shower in that bathroom work fine.

I'll call a plumber tomorrow and brush my teeth in Dylan's bathroom in the meantime, but does anyone have any ideas? Twiddling the knobs behind the sink has no effect.

In better, news, the cinnamon swirl bread I baked this afternoon is almost cool enough to eat. Nom nom nom.

I'll assume you already searched the bathroom for other knobs. So, nope, no ideas.

Yep, I tried the one behind the toilet just for kicks and got nothing.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Tourists,

Stop talking loudly outside of my building. It's annoying, and I'm considering dropping something heavy from my 3rd floor window.

Go away,
Me
