"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I have neighborhood envy.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Me too.

Wow. I'm watching the first episode of Knight Rider. I'm 15 minutes in, actually. And Billy from Galactica is Billy on this, too! And he must feel a bit embarrassed about that, because this show, while also based on a cheesy yet beloved Glen Larson production, is amazingly awful in every way. its kind of sci-fi channel movie hypnotic because you think, no, this is a joke, but then it keeps going and gets even more worser its actualy kind of scary, like did you ever wonder if terrorists could just make a show to melt our brainz and we wouldnt no cuz this is so much more badder than i thot possibul but kant stop looooking see the prtty car go ZOOM

P.S. if you get a chanse put some flowrs on Algernons grave in the bak yard.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hec, Owen LOVES doing the Puppet Master. While shopping for new hats & gloves, we found Yo Gabba Gabba sets--Owen picked out Plex and Liv picked out Foo Fah. So freakin' cute.

If they made them in my size, I'd have bought one for me.

Oh, and Liv calls Mudo "Hot Dog."

I've got some sort of death virus with a cough and sore throat. Went to bed at 8 p.m. after phone banking for Obama. While making tea, I did find a packet of miso so that is a win. Nothing feels better than a steaming, hot cup of miso.

“Not dead yet!”

Hell, now I want a grilled cheese sandwich and sweet potato fries and it's only 8:30 in the morning.

Went out to dinner last night-- indulged in chicken pot pie which I have not had in forever. Also indulged in a dessert they call s'mores and while tasty, wasn't quite heated through in the center. Eh, only really wanted a few bites anyway, since I'm not a huge s'mores person. But our favorite dessert (chocolate pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream) has been discontinued.

I now have a writer's group meeting this morning. At some point, probably while I was in a bar, I agreed to speak on a panel on promotion. Why? I have no idea since I'm the world's biggest cynic when it comes to promo for writers, so I'm going to be, as Pete put it in Bitches, "a pisspot full of shunshine."

(Did I get that right, Pete?)

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

GG, have you heard any Lucia Micarelli? Classically trained, but plays Led Zep and Queen.

I have hear some before but don't own any; however, I'm moving it up my list of things to buy and add to the iPod.

Ditto. I know a place called Hatricks in Tampa Hatricks that makes great sweet potato fries. I might be going to Tampa next weekend. While Hatricks is on the other side of the city from MOSI, it would be worth the trip.

I think "pisspot full of shunshine" is on its way to becoming a new Buffista phrase.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Quiet day here. Going to hit the mall and the library.
