Coding and Sleeping

From legislating when life begins to where prayer should occur to funding a fucked up war that is not working to wanting to be interventionist around the world to nationalizing banks.... it's all about MORE government.

I think this is hurting McCain's message. We've had 8 years of Republican smaller government advocates who have expanded government and government debt (measured as percent of GDP which I think is a better number than straight dollars) like crazy. Before that was 8 years of a Democrat who didn't have any big expansion of government and reduced the debt. Before that 12 years of Republicans overseeing another big expansion of debt. I don't think people are buying another Republican saying he's going to shrink government and eliminate the deficit.

Really shrinking the government would hurt, we'd need big cuts in medical benefits, defense, education, and HUD to really make a difference. Neither candidate is being serious about reducing government, but McCain is pretending that he is.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Apparently Joe-not-the-Plumber is also related to Charles Keating.

Always Anti-fascist!

Sarah Palin's nephew is autistic...I've seen no sign that she really gives a fuck(any poster child in a storm, right?) But nobody got confused about Trig. (I hate this chick...how do I know this?)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Because you know most things, Erika. It is your blessing and your curse.

I'm sorry to whichever Buffista whose birthday I do not retain due to an overflow of gimp trivia. I'm like the Keith Olbermann of maim stories.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

there's some suspicion that they had dumped McCain, that basically they're now just proceeding to develop Palin as their candidate, as somebody they want to bring up in 2012, as the neo-con favored Republican.

I think this is true. I think the neo-cons undermined McCain and are positioning Palin going forward.

ION, they're painting the office and the fumes are giving me a headache. So I've closed the conference room door and I've got the windows open.

Is it lunchtime yet?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Is it lunchtime yet?

Yes. Here in flyover country, anyway.
